BwB is delighted to be hosting two workshops on July 11 and July 12, from 1400 to 1600 (BST) to discuss investment opportunities in a place-based retrofit funding model.
We are working with our partners Eunomia Research & Consulting, Arup, TPXimpact, and Jacobs, funded by the UK Cities Climate Investment Commission (#UKCCIC) to develop proofs of concept of a neighbourhood-level retrofit of housing for energy efficiency.
The main focus will be investments in mobility, green and waste infrastructure and community facilities. This would be fully funded by an implementation vehicle at no cost to the residents, but with the majority of the energy savings delivered captured through a property linked contract to create a multi-decade annuity income stream, which would be used to raise long term patient pension fund capital to pay for the work in the first place.
We are keen to engage with interested parties to discuss the funding of the demonstrators and to explore the opportunity set provided by this structure.
